Hanebado! Episode 2 – 10,000 Frames of Character Development

Now begins the weekly recap of stuff I’m watching this season, and oh man, this season has a STRONG start. Every show I’ve watched so far has been real good, but I think there are three that are the best so far! For today though, let’s talk about- Hanebado! Source Article for 10,000 Frames! Second episode now, and as per my title, studio LIDENFILMS continues … Continue reading Hanebado! Episode 2 – 10,000 Frames of Character Development

Spring of May 2018: Hinamatsuri, Wotakoi, My Hero Academia (and plans for this month)

Yep, I’ve only been watching these three things this month. I’ve been so busy with things, catching up with IRL friends before my internship starts, enrolling myself for my final year in college and a lot of other stuff. So, today, we’ll just have a short recap of the three shows that I’ve bothered to watch this month. Also, with OJT starting, I’ve decided to … Continue reading Spring of May 2018: Hinamatsuri, Wotakoi, My Hero Academia (and plans for this month)

Hina’s Festival Episode 7 – Anzu continues being the best daughter ever, and Hina for President 2020!

That was a quick blog break, lol. Yep, this is a special exception. This would normally be a Friday reaction post, but since I only started watching Hinamatsuri exactly two days ago, I wasn’t able to make a reaction post for the latest episode until now. Hinamatsuri is too good for me not to include in my weekly anime diet, but expect the next post … Continue reading Hina’s Festival Episode 7 – Anzu continues being the best daughter ever, and Hina for President 2020!

Wotakoi Episode 6 REACTION and the end of daily-posting.

Fluffy and standard episode all around! Not much in terms of relationship progression, and some teeny tiny animation issues, but it was still a nice watch. Starting off strong with the girls forcing the guys against a wall by literally making Hirotaka force Kabakura against a wall for their sick yaoi viewing pleasure. I’m into it though, so pictures ahoy! We get a cute little … Continue reading Wotakoi Episode 6 REACTION and the end of daily-posting.

Spring of 2018: Hinamatsuri is the most funny, genuine and heartfelt show of the season so far!

Wow, so while I was browsing through some shows this season just this week, I decided to give Hinamatsuri a try. The plot, which involved a telekinetic little girl in a weird space capsule suddenly dropping into the apartment of a high-level Yakuza officer and being adopted by him, is so ridiculous that I had to give it a try. I watched all six episodes … Continue reading Spring of 2018: Hinamatsuri is the most funny, genuine and heartfelt show of the season so far!

Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku Episode 5 REACTION

Rather fluffy episode today with not much happening, but we do get to meet a new character, Nao! First though, let’s talk about the piercings. I knew there was a reason the piercings were so emphasized. Guess everybody goes through that “it’s not a phase, mom” phase, even our stoic Hirotaka. Nao starts off as rather close to Narumu, leading Kabakura and Hana to believe … Continue reading Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku Episode 5 REACTION

Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku Episode 4 REACTION

Remember when I said I wouldn’t do episodic reactions anymore, unless it was a premiere? I lied, this episode was just too precious to pass up. Don’t worry, I think I’ll be doing these reaction posts only for anime that is REALLY standout to me, and don’t need the other episodes to complement them, so don’t expect reactions to MHA S3, Megalo Box, or any … Continue reading Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku Episode 4 REACTION

Spring of April 2018: Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku (Episodes 1 to 3)

Good whatever-time-it-is-you’re-reading-this, I am The Luminous Mongoose, and it’s time for a monthly seasonal series review! I will preface right now that I won’t be watching EVERYTHING this season, only the shows that interested me personally. I only have so much time in a day after all, and I also need to catch up with a lot of older anime classics since I am a … Continue reading Spring of April 2018: Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku (Episodes 1 to 3)

Spring of April 2018: Megalo Box (Episodes 1 to 4)

Good whatever-time-it-is-you’re-reading-this, I am The Luminous Mongoose, and it’s time for a monthly seasonal series review! I’ll say it right now, Megalo Box reminds me a lot of Shinichiro Watanabe’s work. The western influence, the funky music, and even the main protagonist, are all reminiscent of it. Wether this is intentional or not, I am not sure, but you really can’t ignore it. I do … Continue reading Spring of April 2018: Megalo Box (Episodes 1 to 4)
